All our creations have their own story: some of them are truly special like that of the “Federico” custom leather backpack. It all began when one of our affectionate customers, Fabio, came to our leather store in the center of Rome, with the idea of finding a gift for his partner. The gift had to be special: his partner, Graziana, had been studying for several months for an important national competition to change her job.

Fabio was looking for something as professional as a briefcase, as elegant as a tote bag but at the same time practical for free time: we understood that the right gift for Graziana could be a leather backpack. Among the different styles of our collection, Fabio was attracted to the style “Federico 34“. This leather backpack is the perfect combination of style and function. Once the style was chosen, I took out our color palette and started thinking about what color might be the most appropriate. Fabio described Graziana’s style to me, so that we could get a clear idea about her outfit, her personality, and be able to provide assistance for this choice. Following careful evaluation, he decided to make the backpack in tan color. Finally, to complete the personalization of the gift, we decided to engrave Graziana’s initials on the backpack. Otherwise, the gift would be a sign of support, admiration and love for all this time spent studying with passion and determination.
A happier ending
Twenty days later, Fabio went directly to our leather workshop to collect the custom leather backpack. He was enthusiastic about the result, and he said that the backpack looked even more beautiful than he had imagined. When a customer is happy with their purchase, it is a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into every bag we make. In this case we were aware of the importance and meaning of this bag. “Tomorrow we will know the result of the contest!” said Fabio, taking the bag and saying goodbye.
Sometime later, while I was setting up the new leather shop window, looking towards the street, I noticed something familiar. In via dei Coronari Fabio was walking, hand in hand with a girl, wearing our custom leather backpack. The couple entered the shop beaming, saying that they were strolling through the center of Rome and had stopped by to see me. I finally met Graziana and immediately noticed that the backpack was perfect for her outfit. She told me that the she had successfully passed the competition and that she would change jobs soon, as hoped, and that the backpack would accompany her on this change. That evening as I came home, I thought of the satisfaction of having contributed, in a small way, to the celebration of that success!
